CAN YOU SUGGEST ME THE BEST TIME TO VISIT CHOPTA?

The best thing about Chopta is that you can visit here round the year. Chopta remains covered with snow from November to mid-April and is a perfect winter destination. Chopta remains cool even during summers and offers some of the best views in the valley.


HOW IS THE CONDITION OF ROADS TO CHOPTA?

Awesome! Gone are the days when people would fear driving in the mountains. The roads are broad, metalled and remain open round the year.

HOW ARE SUMMERS IN CHOPTA?

Summers are usually cold in Chopta and will surely give you respite from the scorching heatwaves! The temperature in Chopta during summers remains below 20-degree Celcius. At night, you will need a quilt and a blanket to beat the cold even during summers.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A PASS TO VISIT TUNGNATH AND CHANDRASHILA?

You don't require a pass to visit Tungnath and Chandrashila. However, in case of heavy snowfall at Tungnath and Chandrashila, you may not be allowed to trek to the temple premises. You can contact us to know the present condition at Tungnath and Chopta.

CAN YOU SUGGEST ME SOME BEAUTIFUL PLACES AROUND CHOPTA?

Why not! Deoriatal, Tungnath, Chandrashila, Nandi Kund, Bisuri Tal, Rohini Bugyal, Syalmi Bugyal and Kedarnath are the beautiful places near Chopta.

If you plan to come for a minimum of four days, you tick at least two places off your bucket list. Let's say you are coming from Delhi.

If you leave Delhi early in the morning, you'll reach Chopta by evening. On the second day, you can go on a trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila. It hardly takes 5-6 hours to trek both uphill and downhill combined. On the third day, you can plan to go to Rohini Bugyal or Deoriatal.

And the fourth day, back to Delhi.

Chopta being under a wildlife sanctuary area, there's no fixed car-parking facility available in the entire Chopta valley. However, all the cars are parked on the roadside. It is completely safe. Even we do park our car along the road.
